About Our Juniors Program

FC Frederick's Pre-Juniors Program has been called "one of the finest youth development programs of any youth soccer club in the United States." Modeled after the ideals set forth in the USSF National Youth License, players participate in "developmentally appropriate" training activities that are both challenging and fun.

The Pre-Juniors program enhances and refines the technical skills and 1v1 ability developed in the Academy I & II programs, while introducing players to the small-sided game environment. FCF's Pre-Juniors Directors oversee all program aspects, and work with the Director of Coaching and Staff Coaches to develop and implement program goals. FC Frederick's Pre-Junior Boys Director, Scott Mohler, and Pre-Junior Girls Director, Bo Eskay, bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Pre-Juniors program. Annual Evaluations take place each May for the coming year, but PLAYERS CAN ALSO JOIN THE CLUB AT ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR.

Players participate in age group programs based on the year they were born. For labeling purposes, "12U" (for example) means that players in that age group can be 12 years old and younger. The 2025-26 age groups are:

2015 = 11U

2014 = 12U

11U Program:

Coaching: FCF Staff Coach; oversight by Pre-Juniors Boys & Girls Directors

Commitment: Yearly. Players are placed on flighted teams following Evaluations in May; can join at other times.

Training: Twice per week plus SKLZ or Futsal day, at Frederick area fields

Leagues: NCSL, SAM Soccer, URSL, or other leagues based on team level

Events: FCF ScrimmageFest (Fall/Spring); Tournaments (Fall/Spring); SkillsFest (Fall/Spring)

Other: Uniform and size 4 soccer ball are additional costs (purchased through soccer.com)

12U PROGRAM:
