In July of 2020, Soccer in the Summer League (SiSL) emerged as the first league to begin operating in Frederick County post-quarantine. The SiSL season begins in late June and runs through the end of July each summer.
The league's 7v7 format (6 Field Players + GK, 2x30 minutes), with each team playing two games per week (8 total), allows for maximum roster flexibility.
The SiSL offers competition in the following ages/divisions:
- High School
- College/Open (generally rising 19U & older birth years)
- Senior Youth (generally rising 16U to 18U birth years)
Turf fields, referees, professional scheduling, and timely updated standings are all part of the SiSL experience! Please contact Dave Shannon with any questions.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE (MSL) |

FC Frederick's Middle School League (MSL) is a summer 7-a-side league designed to tap into players' interest in school-based sports participation, while utilizing, as much as possible, the expertise and dedication of the FC Frederick coaching staff and community. Players are encouraged to register online for the league in early May. Tryouts, based on FCPS Middle School draw areas, are typically completed in late May, with player selections posted by early June.
Teams play 2 games per week, one weekday and one Sunday, beginning the last week in June through the last week in July for an 8 game season. There are teams for Varsity (current 7th and 8th graders) and Junior Varsity (current 5th and 6th graders). Varsity level teams will play for the MSL Championship at the end of each season. HEXALEAGUE (H League) |

The HexaLeague is our 6-a-side league (5 field players and a goalie). Teams play 50 minute games (2x25 minute half) on approximately 35 yard by 55 yard fields. We use a single site for all games and consistent time slots to make family schedules easier to manage. No scores or standings are published for this league.
The HexaLeague is the only MSYSA sanctioned league for 10U and younger players following the USYS recommended 6-a-side format deemed the most appropriate for player development.
Outside clubs are welcome to apply for entry to the league. League fees are based on a direct cost/shared expense model. This pricing model ensures that teams/clubs pay no more than the cost for each team to participate. Please contact Dave Shannon to register for this league. |

FREDERICK FOURS |

The Frederick Fours is our 4v4 co-ed league. We use the 'Dual Field' format of organizing teams for their game day experience. Teams of 10-12 players are created and then divided in half to play their opponent who does the same. The 'half teams' play on side-by-side fields (approx. 25 v 35 yards). At halftime, one team switches their 'half teams' so all the players play the 'full' team of their opponent. Games are 4 - 10 minute quarters. No scores or standings are published for this league. The Frederick Fours is the only MSYSA-sanctioned league using US Soccer recommended age appropriate team sizes for the 7/8U player.
