| Meaning of the Modern Crest |

The shape of the Crest is derivative of the Excel Crest, the Club's first crest. |

The color scheme uses the Club's 3 colors (royal blue, black, and white), but highlights royal blue, the primary color for both Frederick United and Frederick Excel. |

The soccer ball at the base of Crest (with Maryland State Flag colors) shows the Club's connection to the larger Maryland soccer community, which has one of the finest player development traditions in the United States. |

There are 11 stripes radiating from the soccer ball, which represent the 11 field players on a full-sided team. |

The six blue stripes represent the six organizations whose impact, at different points in time, greatly influenced the Club's direction and success: Frederick YMCA, TJAY Soccer, Frederick Excel, Frederick United, Frederick Alliance Soccer Academy, and the Urbana Soccer Association. |
